Lightcliffe St Matthew near Halifax in West Yorkshire is the very first our churches to have a poet in residence in the churchyard! Since Spring 2017 the Yorkshire poet Bob Horne has been writing poetry inspired by St Matthew’s. This excerpt from ‘Hollowings‘ is concerned with our loss of connection with the natural world.
