2017-18 has been quite a year for the Friends. The number of churches we now own – with the additions of Castlemartin, Gwernesney and Ballidon – has risen to fifty-two. We managed six major repair campaigns, including that at East Hatley, which opened its doors to visitors for the first time in sixty years. And four owlets were born at Sutterby – a once forlorn church now brimming with new life.
Sadly in the same year we were also the victim of theft – with organ pipes and other fittings cruelly stripped out at Grade I listed Llanfair Kilgeddin. But local support there and at so many of our churches is stronger than ever – and we’re thrilled that our membership has grown to an unprecedented 2,315 subscribers. Thank you to all who support us through membership or volunteering – we could not have achieved this without you.
