Sunday 11th November 2018 marks the centenary of the end of the First World War and we’re taking the opportunity to reflect on the impact of the conflict on Friends churches.   We explore some of the art erected in memory of loved ones lost, and the legacy left by artists themselves fleeing war-torn countries.  Many ancient churches fell into disrepair as local men were called up – and Urishay is one of them.  And two of our churches are marking the date with events;  at Mundon St Mary an exhibition and at Woodwalton the tolling of the bell on the 11th hour.   Find out more about the stories behind the stones.
