Sutterby Church is to be immortalised in knitted form! Local Friends are creating an artistic representation of the church – engaging the community, showcasing craft skills and extending the legacy of the Spirit of Sutterby.
A 1:16 scale model of the church and churchyard has been created and a number of mini-workshops aimed at beginners (and supported by Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service) are now taking place – including straw work, dry and wet felting and peg-rugs. ‘Churchyard kits’ are available for those who would like take part – and can be sent out by post to those who want to participate but aren’t local. The crafted model of St John the Baptist, Sutterby is set to be something extraordinary and these simple kits enable supporters to make a lasting contribution.
